Harimau Malaya Set for China and Yemen Friendlies in November
Harimau Malaya are scheduled to face China and Yemen in two international friendlies in Guangzhou in November 2026. The matches will give Malaysia valuable opportunities to test the squad, build team understanding and gain experience against international opposition.
The Football Association of Malaysia confirmed the revised opponents after an earlier announcement had listed two matches against China. The updated schedule has Malaysia playing China on 14 November before meeting Yemen on 17 November.
Malaysia’s November Fixture Schedule
- 14 November 2026: Malaysia vs China
- 17 November 2026: Malaysia vs Yemen
Both matches are scheduled to take place in Guangzhou, China. Supporters should check official announcements from the Football Association of Malaysia for confirmed kick-off times, broadcast information and any later changes.
Why These Matches Matter for Malaysia
International friendlies give national teams an opportunity to assess players and develop combinations ahead of future competitive fixtures. They also allow the coaching staff to examine different tactical approaches against opponents with different playing styles.
For Malaysia, the November matches provide a chance to improve coordination between defence, midfield and attack. Consistent performances will be important as the team continues preparing for its next international challenges.
What Supporters Should Watch
Fans can look out for the final squad announcement, possible changes to the starting line-up and the team’s approach in both matches. The use of substitutes may also offer opportunities for players to demonstrate their abilities at international level.
However, the final squad and starting eleven should not be assumed until official team announcements are available.
Following Harimau Malaya’s Progress
Malaysia’s progress will depend on preparation, discipline and the ability to turn opportunities into goals. The two fixtures should offer useful information about the team’s readiness for future competitions.
